LOEFFLER RANDALL PATENT ORIGAMI SANDAL
New today is our favorite pair of summer sandals to-date. Loeffler Randall’s patent origami sandals, offerred in the most delicate nude patent and girly watermelon pink patent, are absolutely essential to any woman’s summer sandal wardrobe. They are so cute paired with denim, shorts, skirts, and all of the fun dresses and rompers that we are offerring for the season. Of course because they are patent, they are also great to wear a bit more dressy on those hot summer days/night when feet are just a bit too uncomfortable to squeeze into a heel. I love the nude patent paired with solid black too – nude is so big this season that bringing that for anyone hesitant to wear an article of clothing that is nude, this shoe is definitely an easier alternative. The watermelon patent is truly the perfect pop of color to finish any outfit: taking it from ok to super fun and chic.

CAMILLA SKOVGAARD BRUSHED STEEL SANDAL
Is it silver? copper? bronze? dark gold? This shoe is the perfect metallic shoe to pair with almost anything because its brushed steel color gives off a warmer or cooler metallic hue based on what it is worn with. We love the multi buckle back that is cut lower on the ankle so as to not cut off those pretty legs! Also Camilla’s heel placement adds to the industrial chic look of this shoe – it is pushed in directly under the center of the heel – so hot! This is why we love Camilla Skovgaard, her shoes are so wearable, yet she thinks so outside the box that they look so much cooler than any other shoe collection on the market. These shoes can be worn with white jeans, an all black ensemble, a bright color, floral dress, and they look super chic with Alexander Wang’s new corset dress (pictured directly below).

Sporty, sexy, intimidating, feminine, and fun – this is my favorite Alexander Wang corset dress to date! It is the perfect compilation of all of his best design aesthetics in one dress. The gray draped skirt and cap sleeve, the cotton canvas corset with lace-up detail, the exposed zipper, and exaggerated sexy slit – this dress is so wearable because of its fabric and color combo. I see wearing it out to a fabulous Saturday night dinner, a party, vacation, or a fabulous beach party. Pair it with python shoes, nude shoes, caged shoes, or bronze metallic like our Camilla Skovgaard’s. This dress rocks.

It is such a fabulous modern interpretation of a classic silhouette – a Cotillion dress meets 2010. Marc Jacobs knows his LBD’s and this is definitely our favorite one to date. This is why we love Shoshanna – season after season,we are able to wear her dresses that we have from years ago and they still work because they are so timeless. What I’m wearing today.
Okay so it is 90 degrees out today and most of us, if you are like me have your closets somewhat switched over to spring/summer clothes, but not quite all the way yet. Also, if you are like me and not ready to start showing those pale bare legs off yet, getting dresses for an impromptu sweltering hot day in April can be a bit confusing and if you are bearing those legs because they have color – I am envious and go for it – I wish I could! Color, prints, and cottons are definitely the way to go, along with skinny jeans or pants to hide the not quite transitioned legs. This is what I pulled together this morning and I love it – just enough pop of color without jumping beyond spring into summer attire. It might be hot, but I truly abide by the ’style within the current’ season mantra. I think with a little mixing and matching summer and spring pieces, dressing for a day like today can be appropriate and fun.

Our Favorite Top: 3.1 Phillip Lim
3.1 Phillip Lim Cotton Tank with Embellished Shoulder
This is our favorite white top for the season. It is so versatile, yet far from basic. Phillip Lim’s detailing is perfect – black/blue crystal florets atop the most delicate ivory tulle finished with an ivory cotton bow. The neckline is slightly drapey and the length works for tucking in, but is also longer than the hips so it is perfect to pair with our fav. pair of jeans. Here is our favorite top styled with four of our favorite skirts.

We are completely in love with this top. It is a bit romantic, a bit easy chic, and a touch modern: which of course is quintessentially Phillip Lim. We paired it with (from left to right) our new Rag & Bone chambray linen paperbag waist skirt, ADAM navy silk tulip skirt with black banded waist detail, Alexander Wang sexy grey “sweat skirt” with back exposed zipper and white elastic waistband detail, and lastly our highly coveted honey croc embossed leather pleated skirt from 3.1 Phillip Lim.
