An Ombre Perfection: Helmut Lang

Today we received yet another amazing delivery from Helmut Lang. One of our favorite pieces is this black, grey, and white ombre silk dress (above). This dress is beyond beautiful. It really is a work of art – the combination of the silk and graduated color, asymetrical black panel sides, and twist shoulder detail -this dress works on all body types and really does take the LBD (little black dress) to a whole new level. Wear it now with black caged shoes and tights, when it is warmer paired with our Alexander Wang Eliza Wedge Shoes (see below), and even next winter with a sleek black boot and tights. I am reminded of a light fog lifting on a beautiful forest in the morning – what do you see? Absolute perfection. Thank you to the designers of Helmut Lang for bringing us our new favorite LBD.

Ports 1961 Laser Cut Ombre Tulle Dress

I have been waiting since September (when I saw this in the showroom) for this amazing dress to arrive and now it is here! It is so incredibly beautiful. The graduated color palette is beyond ethereal and the fabric beyond compliments the color. A horizontal (extremely body flattering) laser cut tulle with ivory grosgrain ribbon straps. It is magnificent! (and I don’t use that word too often). If there is one dress to have in your closet as a go-to special dress for weddings, showers, luncheons, anything very important and special – this is it. Classic, beautiful, extremely flattering, and one of a kind = Ports 1961.
